Lo, after much too long, I have returned to my poor neglected web journals. Now for the updating!

§My online classes have been going pretty well so far. Not sure if I'm going to hit the double A mark that I need, though. I'l gonna keep going, however.

§In case I haven't told you over IM, I got a job at Subway on May 19th. ^_^ It's nothing too big, but I'm having fun with it so far. Plus, one of the guys there is a gamer, so I have someone to talk nerdy with when we're on the same shift.

§Speaking of May 19th, I saw Revenge of the Sith opening night with Ron and a few of his friends. Although some of it was kinda meh *coughmostofthesceneswithNataliePortmancough*, overall it was a pretty damn good movie. If you haven't seen it yet, remedy this as soon as you can.

§Been hanging out with Ron a decent bit, and have finally met some other folks down here. Steve and Joey are pretty cool guys, I must say. Although, Joey's gf isn't really into the gaming scene, so it's kinda hard to get Joey to swing by for the occasional game that Ron runs. *shrug* Such is life.

§I'm slowly but surely getting things figured out for Nationals. I'm having problems getting a hold of my shot records *grumbles*, so I called them yesterday and they said that as long I get my forms in in the next day or two, I should still be fine. I also need to figure out how I'm getting there, since the university is about two hours away from the nearest airport. *looks to Heather* What are your thoughts on getting a rental or something?

§Been talking with Ben a bit, although not nearly as much as I'd like to. I finally found an international calling card, but the damn thing doesn't work. *fumes* I've also decided that, as soon as I have the money for it, I'm going to go see him in Germany. No idea when I'll be going or for how long, but I really want to do it.

§Brianna's summer is volleyball-filled, as usual. She's had a few tournaments, but the two big things coming up are the Nationals in Salt Lake City the first week of July and the camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. If she makes the 12-man team at Colorado Springs, she'll be going to play in CHINA for about a week and a half. *grins* Awesome, huh?

§This year's trip to Jersey is going to be kinda special, because my grandfather is moving out of the house on the shore. It's just too big for him to take care of himself now. *sigh* I've got so many good memories about that house (and my Nana, who passed away...God, three summers ago?) that it's very odd to think about the fact that Poppop's not going to be in it anymore.

§While I'm in Jersey, I'm going to try to go to NYC for a day or two. I'm not sure what all we're going to be doing once we get to Jersey (decent bit of packing, I'll wager), but if I can, I really want to go and see El. *huggles Nora* Also, while I was watching the Tonys last Sunday (Go Spamalot! ^__^), I found out about a really interesting play called The Pillowman that I'd really like to go see. It's about an author in a totalitarian society who is being questioned about the bizarre short stories he writes; he's brought it because incidents strangely similar have been occuring in his town. I'm just just hoping it's still original cast by the time I get up there. *crosses fingers*

Hmm...*rereads post* I think that's about all of the major stuff that's happened since my last update. I'll try to keep it better updated, I promise. *wink* See you guys later.

Thanks to everyone who posted yesterday. I have since calmed down and started figuring out stuff in terms of school, including the possibility that I may be attending UCF next fall. That, however, remains to be seen.

At any rate, I'm going to bed now. With luck, a decent-sized post will be coming soonish.

*goes to press submit button, but pauses* Oh yeah, almost forgot. Like the new user pic? It's one of the many I have saved on my LJ icon collection, which broke 300 yesterday thanks to a stash of Firefly icons I came across. *beams*

Fun little meme I snagged from Tommy, slightly modified.

One. Pick ten musicials. (or bands, or musicians)
Two. Post them and see who can guess which song from each musicial is your favorite
Three. Once someone guesses right, bold that row and include your favorite song

1. Wicked - Defying Gravity (Guessed by klmnumbers)
2. Thoroughly Modern Millie -
3. Sweeney Todd - A Little Priest (guessed by nacho_cheese)
4. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum -
5. Assassins - Ballad of Booth (Guessed by klmnumbers)
6. Sunset Boulevard -
7. Phantom of the Opera -
8. The Producers -
9. Oklahoma! - The Surrey with the Fringe on Top (Guessed by klmnumbers)
10. Evita -

Have fun, folks. ^_^

§Edit - 7:18PM 4/8/05: I swapped out Into the Woods for Forum, mainly 'cause I haven't actually listened to all of ItW yet. ^^'

*looks at clock* Yet another night that I'm awake past 3 AM. I have a sneaking suspicion that my current sleep cycles may end up frelling me over at some point. *le sigh* Anyhoo, onto the update.

Friday classes went pretty well. I must say, I do love not having classes until 1:25. *grins* We took our first quiz in speech, which I think I did okay on. Japanese calligraphy was fun as always, and theory was pretty cool. I snagged some dinner with Heather, then headed to SO to watch My Cousin Vinny with Steph and El. Suzi and...Andrew, I think came over later. Much fun was had indeed. ^_^ After the movie wrapped, Tommy came and snagged me, then we headed to the Republic.

Saturday we went over to Tommy's place to watch a few movies and do some BBQing. By the by, if you haven't seen Equilibrium, remedy this. It's got a 1984-esque plot with some of the most amazing gun-fu I've ever seen. After Equilibrium we watched The Ninth Gate, another tres awesome movie. That one is about a book seller (played by Johnny Depp) who is hired by a famous book collector to authenticate the copy of a rather interesting book that he has. I won't go into anything more in case you haven't seen it yet, but it's teh awesome. Once we wrapped up The Ninth Gate, Tommy dropped me back at the dorm so I could change, then I made my way to Wescott for the a capella competition.

*grins* The competition was AWESOME. Although, I must admit, Yahtzee and Acabelles were my least fave groups that performed. My top spot, of course, goes to the fab boys of 36 Madison Avenue. Yeah, they weren't competing, but they totally stole the show. =D Speaking of Mad Ave, I did a bit of searching on facebook and found Justin (aka Little Spoon). ^_____^ I snagged the two Mad Ave CDs as well as last year's BOCA; Heather snagged quite a few others (and sent most of 'em to me today). After the competition (Go Loreleis! *grins*) I headed to game, then hit VI, said howdy to Spartacus, then crashed on the floor of the Republic.

Sunday I mostly just worked on my Greek HW, played City of Heroes, then headed home at some point that night/Monday morning. Monday I got up and went to my classes, killing some time in Stroizer inbetween classes. I actually stayed home on Monday, making a trip to Walmart with Melissa. After pondering for a while, I bit the bullet and bought City of Heroes for myself. I installed it that night, but then found out that I needed to dedicate myself for an additional month before I could play. After talking with Matt, he said that he could give me one of the game time cards that he had. *<3's Matt*

Tuesday I got up, somehow managed to stay awake in Egyptian A&A, went to Greek, then killed time in Stroizer until Matt came with the time card. Then I killed more time in Stroizer until I met Heather for dinner, then headed to SO to watch Life of Brian. Well, that was the plan, anyway. *grins* El had accidentally left the DVD in New York, so I ended up working on my Greek for a while then heading back home. *hugs Nora* No feeling bad for leaving them! I decree it so. When I got back, I tried running CoH. Emphasis on tried. Ends up that I don't have enough RAM to run the game w/o massive amounts of lag. >_< 'tis teh suck.

Yesterday I went to Greek, snagged lunch with Mike, listened to Brother Jed for a while, then went to Speech. After speech I listened to Jed while doing my theory hw, then high-tailed it to theory. After class I headed back to the dorm and started working on my website review for Egyptian A&A, which is due...well, today. While I worked, Heather sent me an insane amount of a capella, including the BOCA CDs from '99 to 2002 and two UNC Loreleis CDs. The 2002 CD is my fave thus far; the Tufts University Beelzebubs do an AWESOME version of Pink Floyd's "The Trial" on it.

I wrapped the project up at about 9:30, then snagged a ride to the Republic with Tommy and Matt. Matt made ziti and garlic bread, which was tres tasty. ^_^ I should cook for the guys again. It's been a good bit since I did. After FINALLY finishing my Greek at about 2:30, I asked Tommy if he could bring me back to the dorm, and here I am. Since getting back I started work on this post, talked with Erik for a while (and printed out his paper for Pullen's class tomorrow) and pondered whether I should pull an all-nighter or try to get at least three hours of sleep. Still pondering on that one.

At any rate, I can't really think of anything else to post about. See youse guys later.

A decent bit has happened since the last time I updated. I'll do my best to remember when everything happenend, but I know I'll prolly mess up on a thing or two.

*1/11 - Had an interesting talk with Katy about DID at about 12:30AM. Katy, I've got the IM saved if you want to read it.
*1/12 - Went to my first day of Music Theory, which was pretty fun. Played in Gregg's Star Wars d20 game. Terrence (an utter tard and a powergamer) played a Jedi who apparently has never heard of being subtle. -_-' Don't know why Quincy hangs out with him...
*1/13 - Saw Enter the Haggis perform. ^________^ If you haven't heard of them, they're a band from Canada (well, one of the guys from Scotland) who plays celtic-inspired rock music. They're teh awesome.
*1/15 - First session of Mike and Quincy's Changeling game, which was teh awesome. ^__^
*1/16 - Chilled at le Republic all day; worked on Greek a bit; played in Gregg's Star Wars d20 game; plotted on ways to kill Terrence's character in game
*1/17 - Snagged Cici's for lunch; finished Greek translation, got back to the dorm at about 2:30AM
*1/18 - Actually stayed awake during my Egyptian Archaeology class; bumped into John Terlowe at the SLB and talked with him for a while; found out what Nora's having to deal with; eventually fall asleep at 3:30AM.

Today I've got Greek, Speech and Theory. I'm gonna try to hook up with Heather for lunch, which shall be nice considering I haven't seen her in a while. Other than that, I'm not sure what's gonna happen. At any rate, I've gotta haul butt if I'm gonna make it to class on time. See youse guys later.

Today, my friends, has been a good day. True, I didn't fall asleep until about 6:30 this morning and got up at 10, but even considering that, it's been a good day.

I had originally planned on meeting Heather for breakfast this morning, but that changed after I only got three hours of sleep. After IMing Heather, I slept for another hour, then got ready and made the trek to the Shores building for Greek II.

Greek wasn't too bad. The room doesn't have any windows, so it feels a little claustrophobic, and it was kinda hot in there. Most of the people from Greek I were in there, so I knew people. Dr. Stoddard seems pretty cool so far; apparently Dr. Griffin spoke of us with high regard. *grins* After class I talked with Kim and Phil (not Miller, the other one), then snagged a hot dog before my Speech class in Bellamy. That went pretty well; the class is almost all upperclassmen, which is kinda funny.

After class, I went to go check out the bazaar and saw that the people with all of the posters are back. I looked through 'em all, found a really cute one that I'm gonna send Bri (here's a pic), then saw that they were looking for help. I inquired within and found out that they needed help getting the posters packed up about an hour from then and they were 'paying' students with $10 worth of credit towards buying posters for each hour they worked. Not wanting to pass up the opportunity to snag a few new posters, I had a late lunch (was still hungry after the hot dog) and helped them tidy up the posters in the sleeves and carried stuff over to the truck. I've got time to kill both tomorrow and Friday, so I'm prolly gonna go work with 'em again, then cash in my credit on Monday. If you want a free poster or two, lemme know when you can hit the Union on Monday. I've got a break from 12 to 1:20 and from 2 until they close at 4.

After working the poster thing, I headed back to my dorm and here I am. All in all, not too bad of a day, eh?

By the by, I noticed that the OCRemix links on my playlist don't work. *le sigh* Now I need to find some new songs to stick here. Will hafta go looking for more music sites after I snag dinner with Heather and do my Greek HW. Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed my first actual update in about two months. I'll definitely try to keep it up, nut you guys know me and weblogs. *winks* See ya.
